About Waiting Times UK

Waiting Times UK is an independent website that turns official NHS waiting time statistics into clear, local pages for every part of the UK.

We are not part of the NHS or any government body. We do not offer medical advice and we do not rate or recommend hospitals: the figures describe how services have performed, as reported by their own statistics.

The site is updated each month after NHS England, Public Health Scotland, the Welsh Government and the Department of Health in Northern Ireland publish new figures. See data sources and methods.

The site is free to use. It uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful; see the privacy policy.

If you need care

If it is not an emergency, NHS 111 online or calling 111 can tell you where to go, including urgent treatment centres, which often have shorter waits. Call 999 or go to A&E for life-threatening emergencies such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding or signs of a stroke. For questions about your own referral, contact your GP or the hospital’s booking team.
